The annual meeting of the Warkwoitn Hockey Club originally convened for this evening has been postponed until tomorrow evening (Thurs* day.) Mr H. Mr John Fisher, the president of the Waikato Show, was very outspoken in a speech in Hamilton the other day about farmers and finance. He said : " The farmers are prosperous to day. Some people say they are hard up, but I say they are not. just look around to day and see how well they all look here," and he added, .*• the County Council of which 1 have the honour to.be a member has had all its rates paid up." Mr C. O. Ketterer, has kindly donated" a three'guinea medal for most points in cycling eveuts at the sports in Waikworth on 7th April. The Warkwoith Oddfellows notify in tills issue that their aunual dance will, be held on May Ist. This is always a popular function with the daneiugfolk. So make a note of the date.
