OUR SOLDIER BOYS.

On the 3rd. of Dec. a social was held in the Ahuroa Hall to bid farewell to two more boys Troopers Charles Parker and Tom Searchfield who were on their final leave from Trentham ,gamp. At the sanie function a welcome waw accorded to Private "V. E. Sanderson, who has been invalided home from the front. s Dancing was indulged in during the eveningl, and it was not until the earlyhours of morning that the company of dancers departed. Before supper was handed round each of the soldiers was presented with a gillette razor. Mr Dupningham gave a short speech, and Miss Weisner handed the gifts to the young men, who responded fiittingly. A very successful evening closed by singing "they're jolly good fellows." Three hearty cheers were given for the departing heroes. -
