ADVANTAGES OF A LIFE PLAN.

It pays to have a; life plan. Such a plan unifies our lifejj it organises our days; it binds our ;hours together in one harmonious whole; it gives meaning value and direction to our lives. No man is apt to arrive-or to-achieve success, unless he has a fairly distinct notion of where he wishes to go and what he wants to do. There are some meaningless people whom you could "accurately call human derelicts. They drift, and like everything else that drifts, they drift down stream. There is a very great difference between the men who wait and see what will happen and men who make things happen-; in such a way that they will contribute to the realisation of their life plan. The first kind of a man is a failure; a miserable failure. The second kind of man is a success; a splendid, success: The one differentiating thing between an ignoble and a noble life is the having a purpose, pursuing an ideal, journeying towards a goal. The man who regulates his life by momentary inclinations will never amount to much or accomplish much. The man who finds life to be not a series of disconnected accidents, but an opportunity for participation in an infinite plan, follows the way of duty until it mounts to the place of insight, courage, calmness, strength and great ness. Such a man steadily grows in character and in effectivaness. Such a life is not a dreary chronicle of unrelated event; it is a splendid drama of fulfilled thought and purpose.
