HOW TO TREAT A WHOOPING COUGH.

A child suffering from whooping cough should be kept in a warm, wellventilated room, but on bright, warm days it-should be well wrapped up and taken out for a walk. The food should be light and nourishing. Cod liver oil and tonics should be given, and the chest and back should be rubbed night and morning with a .stimulating lini r ment, such as camphorated oil. As the paroxysms of coughing are always worse at night, a fire in the sleeping room is even more important and of greater service than one in the living room. The patient should be kept away from other children, and a change of air is advisable during con, valescence.
