Willie was bidding good-bye to lus school companion when his mother ca,me to the cottage door. ■■:■
After a time as Willie was taking liis dinner, she asked: "Did Oi see Barney Queen cryin' when lavein' yea at the gate"
Willie: "Yea did so, Oi'm shure, fur the masther hes done sorra foundid all day but bate him."
Mother: "Goodness bliss us all, chile dear, what hes the craythur been doin' till annoy the masther so
much?"
Willie: "Och, 'tis his spellin', mixes up the wurrds iviryway."
Mother: Troth, Oi wndn't wondhir, but if he hurd his father wEn he's oomin' throm the fair some noights, he'd giv the chile more iv a chance an' nowt take id till heart so much."
