CHEST ARRANGEMENT FOR BEDS.
The space beneath a bed is often 'utilised as storage room for clothing and hat boxes, and the like, but such use has its disadvantages, as each box has to be handled every time the room is cleaned Illustration shows a bed
box that utilises for storage nearly all the space under the bed. Its bottom is three or four inches above-the floor and it is suspended from and slides upon channel-shaped rails at tachad to the side rails of the bed. The box may be constructed with or without a top, but, as shown in the illustration, has a top, the outer end of which is upholstered to provide a comfortable seat at the-foot of the bed when the box is pulled partly out.
