At Weatfield Yards on Thursday last the New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, and Reduced, held their usual weekly sale of dairy and stove stock. At the Albert Yards on Fribay horses came forward in larger numbers than usual and sold under steady competion. Heavy draught horses sold at from £29 to £41 10s, medium £18 to £25 ; hacks and light harness horses, £5 10s to £17. The unbroken colts and fillies from Motiti sold at from £10 to £25.

At the Westfield Yards oil Wednesday fat cattle came forward in average numbers. The quality was .first-class, although only light-weights were yarded. Best oxeu sold to 32s per 1001b. others 27s to 295; cows and heifers, 25s to 28s. Steers sold at £8 5s to £15 2s 6d ; cows, £5 to £9 15s; heifers,'£s 5s to £10 15s. Veal came forward in large numbers and sold at late rates. Heavy vealers, £3 10s to £4 12s; medium-weights, £2 to £2 18s; otherß, 20s to 335; smaller and fresh-dropped, 3s to 14s. Sheep came forward in less numbers than the previous week and declined in price from Is 6d to 2s per head on inferior fatted, best quality selling at late quotations. Best weiliera sold at from 24s 6d to 27s 6d, others 21s to 23s 6d ; inferior faxted, 18s 6d to 19s 9d; heavy ewes 18s 9cl to £1 2s 6d, others 13s 6d to 15s 9d; hoggets, 12s 9d to 15s 9d. Pigs t. ere yarded in usual supply and again sold at high values. Baconers, £2 18s to £4 2s; large porkers £2 Is to £2 15s, porkers £1 10 to £1 18s, weaners 15s to 18s 6d.
