RELATIVE WEIGHT AND HEIGHT.
—+— A person five feet tall, between tne ages of fifteen and twenty-four, ought to weigh 120 pounds. Between twen-ty-five and twenty-nine, 125 pounds. Between thirty and thirty-four 128 pounds. Between thirty-five and thir-ty-nine, 131 pounds. Between forty and forty-four,. 133 pounds. From for-ty-five on, 134 pounds. A person more than five feet tall and less than five feet three inches, between fifteen and twenty-four should weigh 127 pounds; from forty-five on should weigh 141 pounds, the increase being in the same ratio as given above. Parsons five feet three inches, and less than five feet 'five inches, should weigh between the ages of fifteen and twJcfnty-four 134 pounds; and when forty-five years old should weigh 147 pounds. A person five feet five, less than five feat seven should weigh 138 pounds between fifteen and twentyfour, and at forty-five should weigh 151 pounds. A person five feet seven, and less than five feet ten, should between fitteen and twenty-four weigh 150 pounds, with a gradual increase in weight, and at forty-five should weigh 163. A person five feet ten inches and less than six feet, should between the ages of fifteen and twenty-four weigh 160 pounds, with a gradual increase, and at 45 should weigh 175 pounds. A person six feet tall and less than six feet two, between the ages of fifteen aad twenty-four, should weigh 170 pounds, gradually increasing until afc forty-five the weight is 190. A person six feet two or six feet three, between the ages of fifteen and twenty-four, should weigh 180 pounds, gradually increasing at the ratio given in the first paragraph, until at fortyfive he should weigh 205* with a slight decrease during the remainder of life. . The, above table is the average weight for normal adult males. Females up to the age of forty-five ot fifty should weigh less than males; from then on the female is liable to weigh more than the male. It should be borne in mind that" a deviation from these weights of twenty pounds, either above or below, if the prison's general condition otherwise is good, should not be considered as abnormal.
