BABY'S HOOD.
The simplicity of the hood, and the ease with which it can be made are the points which will impress themselves on the mother who does her own sewing. Nothing in the way of headgear could be more comfortable for a baby than this design, and besides being picturesque it protects the
delicate little ears from treacherous winds and draughts. It would look charming with a velveteen crown and a brim of silk, embroidered with flowers ;^but a simpler bonnet can be made in cashmere or flannel, trimmed with lace and ribbon. A detachable lining of soft silk is advisable, as this can be washed and replaced. Nothing soiled should ever be allowed to come in contact with a young child's head.
