MEETING OF SUB-ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE.
A meeting of the Eodney sub-associ-ation executive was held in Mr Linkhorn's tea rooms, on Saturday evening. Arrangements were made for the coming of the Ponsonby team. Permission is to be asked from the Auckland Association for Eodney to play a Whangarei team. Permission is requisite as Whangarei is Hot affiliated with the Auckland Association It was also resolved to ask for the visit of an Auckland representative team. In regard to the recent visit of the Rodneys to Auckland, Mr French reported that every man did all he could and the best of spirit prevailed, not only by those who won the cup, but also by the men who stood by prepared to fill any vacancy. A meeting of managers had drafted rules for the governance of the country week competitions, and the promotion of the game in country districts was discussed and proposals advanced for the consideration of the Auckland Association.
