ROOMS NEED SUNBATHS
The health-giving-properties of sunlight should be understood and appreciated by every home-malcer in this day of enlightenment. And yet so many persons seem to shun the light, denying- it access to the home by sreepers and trees, awnings and shades, not to mention curtains and hangings. Light and air are necessary to make a home wholesome, and every room should, if possibley have its daily ray bath.
In many homes the sun never gets fully into a room. In such houses it is particularly necessary to plan so that full advantage can be taken of what little sunlight does enter the room, by arranging the furniture so that it is possible to get close up to the window and bask in the sun's rays.
This is one of the chief advantages of the window seat. Not only does it tend to enlarge a room by extending it to the very limit, and to give an air of distinction and comfort, but it has also the advantage of being a practical place where light and air can be enjoyed.
