MERRY FUNERALS.

There are.signs of the beginning of a craze in Italy for merry funerals. A gentleman of Turin left instructions that his obsequies were to be conducted with the greatest hilarity —a brass band, drinks, and two cigars apiece for male mourners. The funeral was largely attended. The widow, following the instructions in the will, wore red. Another inhabitant of Turin who recently passed away left a large sum of money for a banquet to all the shareholders of the companies he had promoted, the banquet to follow the funeral.
