Fire at North Albertland

The house of Mr H. Heywood at North Albertiand, was destroyed by fire last Wednesday night. Mr Heywpod is away working on the railway line at Maungaturoto, and Mrs Heywood had gone. North to visit her husband, leaving the rest of the family in charge. During the evening, the young peoplo had a good fire on, and it is thought some sparks started the conflagration. Miss C. Heywood and her brothers and sisters gofc out of the burning building safely, but only managed to save a few effects.
