WOMEN AND GOOD LOOKS

Up to twenty, the average girl is irresistibly swayed by good looks. The good-looking man, no matter how stupid he may be, is sure to have a number of girls of that age burning incense at his shrine. But as the girl grows into the woman she demands more of a man. Her ideal man ii np longer a good-look-ing, well-dressed dummy. She does not demand genius or brilliancy, but she expects intelligence and broadmindedness.

Of course, good looks add materially to the charm of any man or woman, and the fortunate possessor of beauty has much to be thankful for. Women are not such beauty worshippers as men are, and the plain man, if he is manly, honest, and strong, has just as many admirers as the Adonis. There is one quality which all women intensely admire in men, and that is physical strength. The strong man, who is gentle withal, is sure to win his way o the Heart of a woman. His strength as compared to her weakness appeals to her very strongly. For women, no matter how strongly minded and independent she may be, cannot love the man whom she does not look up to- It would be doing an intelligent woman an injustice to say that she would be content with beauty and nothing else
