Leigh.

(Own Correspondent).

The Show Committee, as elected for the ensuing year is as follows ;< —A. Haskell (Chairman), D. Matheson (Secretary). J.B. Birdsall, W. Brown, N. Clark, Angus Dunning, C. Dunning W. Harper, and A. Neeley. Of these two of the old members have refused office, and another is missing, so that this is quite a change from the old committee.

The third vacancy is made by the supposed drowning of W. Brown, through the recent boating disaster at Whangarurii. Mr Brown has for some years been actively connected with our shows as a committeeman.

A dance in the Dacre's Hall given by the ladies, was held on Wednesday 15th. Along programme and good supper, provided by the ladies were appreciated by the many in attendance who voted the affair a very pleasant one.
