COMING OF AGE.

Mr and Mrs Kenneth Stewart entertained a large number of guests in the Hakaru Hall, in the evening of Tuesday, May 7th, to celebrate their son Percy's twenty-ilrst birthday. The hall was tastefully decorated ._with nikau, lycopodium fern, and rimu, which, forming a background for the maiiy beautiful dresses of the guests, formed a pretty picture. The hostess wore a very beautiful dress of navy blue silk, Mrs W. Stewart looked very nice in navy blue silk lustre, and Mrs Harrison wore a very pretty white embroidered dress. At intervals, between the dances, for which the music was ably supplied by Messrs Freeman and Smith and Mrs W. Stewart, all were entertained with songs sung by Mr Chipchase" and Miss Francis Stewart.
Tne supper tables were prettily decorated with white and green, and a. sumptuous supper spread. After supper Mr Thos. Eyau proposed -the health of Mr Percy Stewart, and Mr K. Stewart responded. Mr J. Eyan proposed the health of the host and and all sang very heartily "For they are Jolly Good* Fellows A' Mr Percy Stewart wasj^jlfrecipient of many valuable presents.
