The statement published, that the cost of administration in Otamatea County for tho year just closed will stand as the lowest rate of any County in the whole of the Dominion cannot yet be substantiated, inasmuch as the data for comparison is not yet published.
The lasfc Government Statistical Tables relating to Local Bodies give the figures for 1910-1911 as follow :—

The above figures show Bodney County might faro worse by moving out of the Auckland Hospital and Charitable Aid district.
