Suzuki, a member of the Diet, declared that the whole world disliked Japan, and asked whether the Government had any definite policy to steer it through, the present crisis. Hara replied that the world considered Japan progressive, and one of the great five Powers, but there were undoubtedly many things whereof Japan needed to be careful. ONE EYE ON WASHINGTON. HONOLULU, July 9. According to a dispatch from Tokio, a mass meeting in the Prefecture of Hinoshima has passed a resolution protesting against the antiJapanese movement in California, a copy being sent to the American Charge d'affaires, requesting that he will transmit it to Washington.
