PROTECTING POUND

Received July 12, 10 a m New York, July 11

The Echo de Paris says Mr Lloyd George, after consulting representatives of France and Italy, is sending a note to. Moscow making the resumption of commercial, and probably political relations, dependent on an immediate armistice to Poland, stating that the Powers thereafter will fix’a frontier in agreement with Moscow. In the event of refusal he will send help to Poland. The Echo de Paris contends that a prerequisite to the policy of bringing France in touch with Moscow must be Moscow’s recognition of the Russian debt and guarantees gfrom Russia and from Poland respecting the future.
