TIMBER EXHIBITION.

The British Empire Timber Exhibition was opened in London by Prince Arthur of Connaught. There is a most representative collection. The Prince urged the importance of encouraging afforestation. Every Dominion required a farsighted policy of forest conservation. The war had taught us tho_ large part timber played in the equipment and movement of armies. ,He welcomed members of the Empire Forestry Conference, % which is discussing the whole question of forestry.
