PROFITEER’S CODE. New York, April 10 A secret cost price code’of Joseph Nichtauser, a Brooklyn haberdasher, deciphered by the agents of the Department of Justice and reading “God help cs,” has led to bis arrest on a charge of profiteering. The nine letters of the code represented numerals, a cipher "being "indicated bv an **x. ” The detectives allege

that Nichtauser made a net profit of 50 per cent on Jiia invested capital last year—a violation of the wartime non-profiteering law.
