SIR WM. BIRDWOOD
Per Press Association. Invercargill, Jane 14 Sir William and Lady Bird wood arrived by express this afternoon and were accorded a civic reception in the presence of a large and enthusiastic crowd. The party afterwards motored to places of interest in the district, including the hospital and convalescent mßn, where the General conversed with military patients. He was entertained at dinner and a smoke concert to-night, and leaves for Qneenstown to-morrow.
