AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Auckland Racing- Club'S winter meeting - continued to-day. A heavy fog" hung over the course early in the day, but cleared before the first race, and there was a large attenadnce. The totalisator receipts were £05,155. Results:— HUNT CLUB STEEPLECHASE.— Totara Jack (Rennic) 1, Maira 2. Mestee M. Also Parted —Southland. Koura and Cowboy. Won by tor lengths. Time, (5.54. Southland and Koura fell. RANFURLY H ANDIC AP. R oya 1 Abbey 1, Demoiselle 2, Ngata 3. Also started —Khublai Khan, Marble Slab. Dead Sweet, Scottish Knight, Tuipa, Monocrat, Ohiti, North Loburn, Golden Petal. Texas Lass, Nunerrant, and Octoplete. Won by three-quarters of a length, half a length between second and third. Time. 3.47 3-5. REMUEP.A HURDLE RACE. — Kauri King 1, Rekanui 2, Gluetanus 3. Also started —Thrace and Pendoon. Half a length .each way. Time, 4.3. GREAT NORTHERN" STEEPLECHASE. —Lochella 3, Slowcoach 2, Old Mungindi 3. Also started —No Surrender, G-ladful, Omahu. Tenacious, Peneton, Golden Glow and Garryowen.. Slowcoach and Gan-yowen were in the van when they went up the hill the last time, and the latter fell. Lochella, who had been running" well back in the early stages, challenged, and coming" along" in fine style, cut down the light weight and won by two and a half lengths. Old Mungindi twenty lengths away third. Time, 8.32. Garryowen broke a leg" and had to be destroved. KING GEORGE HANDICAP Glencanny 1, Hyllus 2, Parisian Diamond :-;. Also started —King" Abbey, Rockfleld, Crowhurst, Trespass, Gold Kip General Advance, Bezant, Tam-a-roa, Lady Ball, Waiuta, Arrant, Ohinewairna, Te Oro, Archie, Lady Glen, Some Fashion and Tobasco. Half a. length each way. Time, 1.3 3 PANMURE HUR DUES. —Keystone 1 Kereone 2, Ma Copper 3. Also started —Deviation, Glens;.ire, General Stephen, Ohoreka, Cambridge, Attila, Mary Bruce, Multiplane, Peria, St. Carl' and Middleman-:. Two lengths away. Time, 3.35 3-5. CARBINE PLATE.— Monoplane 1, Kinkora 2, Sir Fanciful 3. Also started- Colour Sergeant, Guerre la Mort, Kareao, Master Rohan, Mountain Gold Novation, Nunerrant, Parratu, Pepin, Scrap o'Paper and Night Time. Won by four lengths, two lengths between second and third. Time, 1.5.
