NATIONAL DAIRY SHOW.
The schedules for the National Dairy Show are now ready for distribution and readers are requested to apply for same if they have not received one. Applications for space are coming in rapidly and those desiring to book same are reminded that they should do so at the earliest possible date as the spacious halls of the Association will soon be well filled. The Apple Championship with Messrs Blundell Bros’ trophy of twelve guineas straight out win, should attract many entries, in fact in every division the handsome prizes should'call far keen competition. In the ring events a new class is included for a ladies’ jumping event for which Mr WD Watson has donated a silver cup to be won throe times, not necessarily in succession, before becoming the property of the winner. The Dog "Trials and Hunting Competitions are to take place as usual. The first prize in the open class of the Dog Trial has been doubled and is now £2O. The Breeders’ Club is nearing completion and the numerous meetings held at show time will be hold with greater comfort than it has been possible to provide previously. General entries close on June 7th, and entries for the cattle sale on May 22nd. All information itnay be obtained from the secretary, Mr W T Penny, Box 85, Palmerston North.
