. KANGITIKDJ RACES. , RUDDY WINS GREATFORD STAKES. MOUTOA IVANOVA THE FRASER MEMORIAL. Beautiful weather favoured the Rangitikei Racing Club for its second day’s racing, and there was a good attendance of the public. The racing throughout was very interesting, the finish jin the Rangitoto Hack Handicap being an exciting one. Ruddysprung a surprise in the Greatford Stakes, and Moutoa Ivanova led from start to finish in the Fraser Memorial, winning by half a length from Lovematch. The totalisator investments for the day were £29,432, against £24,621 last year, making a total of £58,279 for the two days, as against £50,489 for the 1919 meeting, an increase of £7790. Results:—GREATFORD HANDICAP, of 190 sovs. Five furlongs. s—Mr5 —Mr Jas. Bull’s Ruddy, by All Red —Neroli, 7.9 , N ■ (A. McCormack) 1 I—Mr G. A. Palmer’s Astinome, 9- 2 (A. Reed) 2 <s—Mr H. Astinome and Gold Problem were in the lead from the rise of the barrier, and led till the straight was reached, when Astinome came away, and Egmont Park displaced Bonny Briar. Halfway down the straight Ruddv put in a strong run and defeated the favourite by half a length. Gold Problem was a length and a hau away third, Egmont Park fourth. TimG 1.2. Nursing Sister, Temno and Otauru Kid were in the van for the first three furlongs, when the latter assumed the lead, and Nursing* Sister fell back. The held bunched at the bend, and Nursing* Sister and Tempo *were leading: down the straight. A splendid finish resulted in Nursing Sister winning by half a length; Parorangi, Paonui and Tempo close up. Time, 1.15 4-5. SANDON HACK HURDLE HANDICAP, of 150 sovs. One mile and a . half. 3 —Mr B. Going round the back of the course Khartoum was leading Ngakanui, with Signorella third. Positions were unchanged. Khartoum winning by a length; Signorella two lengths away-, and War Star fourth. Old Gold put in a challenge in the straight, but failed to reach the leaders, Moutoa Ivanova winning by half a length; same distance between second and third. Time, 1.56 1-5. Empyrean led Vigilio and Persian Prince to the back of the course, where Persian Prince moved up.
