AN APPEAL.
To the Editor. Slß,—Some three years since yo« very kindly published a letter in which I appealed for used stamps to be sent to me'for the furtherance of the work of this Home, The response has been extremely gratifying, and the stamps now handled by us approximate to a million a year. These entail a lot of work in cleaning, sorting and marketing, all of which has been done by Mr E C Wiltshire, To Awamutu, the net proceeds totalling nearly £IOO. So long as Mr Wiltshire is willing, and he is still keen to help in this direction, we think the labour well worth while, We desire by moans of this letter to increase the interest which the publication of our former letter aroused, and shall be grateful tor your assistance towards this further publicity. Parcels of stamps may be sent direct to Mr Wiltshire or to myself, and will be gratefully acknowledged. I Bhoul i say that Mr Wiltshire renders all services in this connection without fee or charge, this being his contribution to the work of the Home in which he is very much interested. We are at present providing for 80 children. —I am, etc., THOS. E. WHITTON, Sec. and Treaa, Manurowa Children’s Homo. P. O. Box 88(5, Auckland.
