THE VOYAGERS.
A WIRELESS MESSAGE. Per Press Association. Wellington, March 5 The Mokoia arrived at Pago Pago on Thursday. This was the first harbour visited since leaving Wellington, At the invitation of Governor Torhune the party had a day ashore. There was a full programme of entertainment and generous facilities were given for inquiries to our experts. There was a reception at the naval sation with a salute of seventeen guns. The party inspected the native school and_ the hospital. The medical authorities are justly proud that they succeeded in completely excluding influenza from the island. The party were present at the opening of tenders for the season’s copra output, sold by the Government on native account. Seven cents per pou’.da constituted a record. There was lunch at Government House and in the afternoon the visitors met the officers and ladies of the naval community, and witnessed some Samoan dancing. The party were much impressed with the deep water harbour and the pictureseue well ordered naval station. Americans were guests at the dinner on the Mokoia, and showed much interest in the cinema pictures of New Zealand sbeep stations ard alpine scenery. Mr Lee was warmly congratulate:! on his promotion to the Ministry. Apia will be reached to day.
