Per Press Association. • Wellington, Jan 28 When the Wellington Education Board met to-day, Mr P. Shand moved :-“That this Board enter an emphatic protest against the action of the Government, in arranging an unnecessary visit to Samoa and other islands in the South thereby expending large sums or public'money chat might be circa la ted to greater advantage in combatting many problems of our time. In the course of the discussion the chairman (Mr Forsyth) pointed out that the G6vernment should not be blamed. Ss Parliament had decided that the trip should be made. The motion was defeated.

Mr G. London : “Does that mean that the Board approves the trip?” The Chairman: “The Board does not approve the trip, but it does disapprove of th& motion as it is worded.
