SCHOOLS TO BE CLOSED.
Per Press Association. Wellington, Jan 28. Owing to the prevalence of mild iutlucnza the Public Health Department has decided to ask the public and private schools in Auckland, Wellington and Taranaki districts to ■'emain closed for the present instead of reopening next week. Dr Maknill, Acting Chief Health Officer, states that this *must not be interpreted as meaning that the epidemic ■ s assuming a more serious type. Wanganui, Jan 29 In compliance with the Health s-epartmeut’s order closing the schools as a precaution against inffiienza, Wanganui Education Board bus decided that the schools shall not reassemble before 9th February. Only a couple of cases in mild form are reported Jn Wanganui district, jj
