COAL FOR FARMERS.

The following letter has been received from Wellington Coal Trade Committee: —Mr Kilgour, Marion, Sir, —Be coal for threshing, the Coal Trade Committee have arranged for 50 tons Newcastle coal from the Wanganui Gas Works and 15 tons from the Westport Coal Go to be railed to Mr H. Gronn, Marton, for the use of farmers *u your district. Will you please assist Mr Grown in distributing this coal as it most be used for thrashing purposes only. I enclose copy of letter to him explaining the position more fully. 1 understand the Westport Coal Co sent 8 tons each to two other coal distributors in Marton. I presume the customers of these firms will draw from them to ease the demand on Mr Gronn.”
