LEVY ON WAR WEALTH.

The Board of Inland Revenue has presented a report to the Treasury on the subject of a special levy on wealth acquired during the war, and has also submitted to Mr Austin Chamberlain, Chancellor*of the Exchequer, the scheme of such levy. “ It is understood that the scheme will be presented to the Commons’ Select Committee, which the Government is about to appoint to inquire into the subject.
