Senate will take up either the Treaty

or the- resolution declaring that war » with Germany is over before the end of the Christmas recess on sth January. The Democrats and the Republicans di?agroe concerning the procedure necessary to bring the Treaty again beiore the Senate. Senator Lodge asserts that tne Treaty is dead, unleso President Wilson reintroduces it. Senator Hitchcock states than the Senate can ratify the Treaty without resubmission by "President Wilson.
