THE RATA HALL.
Mr Mair* engineer of Rangitikei County Council, reported to the Council yesterday on a meeting which had been held in connection with Kata Hall. The meeting resolved to recommend the Council to amend the regulations to provide for a committee of seven—six to be elected annually and one appointed by Council. The following had been elected 'to the committee:—Messrs P. Nesbit, C. H. B. Rhodes, W. Meads, J. Terry, P. Rhodes and G. Harvev. A statement of the debt on the piano showed that £3O was due to members of the old committee, and £ls 19s 6d to the Piano Co. The old committee agreed to contribute the £2O owing to them to the building fund provided the full debt on piano was paid off.. The following subscriptions to the piano were promised in the room:—O. H. E. Rhodes £lO, P. Nebait £5, W. Meads £5, A. G. Simpson £5, per P. Rhodes sub. £1 10s, J. Dunham £2, Tan Potaka £7 9s 6d. Total, £35 19s 6d. Messrs Woods, Rose, J. Coleman and 11. Pickford each agreed to contribute £5 Building Fund. It was- resolved—That the Rata Hall regulations be amended to permit of a committee of,seven being appointed annually, and that the committee appointed be approved, With the addition of Or. A.
