THE BRITISH STRIKES.
United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. London, Oct. IP. Mr Gosling, in a speech delivered in Loudon, revealed the fact that intimate relationship existed between the trade union and cooperative movements during the strike, enabling labour to organise the distbirution of £(500,000 sterling through the Co-operative bank three days after t the Government’s announcement stopping the railwaymen’s pay. If the strike continued food would similarly tributed to strikers’ families. He added that it would surprise many to know how quickly machinery was established during the recent strike to feed the people through the co-operative movement. In future, when the workers desired to gei rid of the capitalist and the profiteers, they would do it ‘without light, because the co-operative movement would become the emploj^er. Mr Robert Williams, in a speech at Newport, criticised the railwaymen’s tacti«s in striking without informing the Triple Alliance of the progress of negotiations. If the alliance had been consulted the strike might have been avoided.
