W.Z. CHAMPIONSHIP MEETING. Per Press Association. Napier September 1. The New Zealand Championship Golf meeting commenced on Waiohiki links to-day, when the first and second rounds of the open ßchampionship and amateur championships ot Hawke’s Pay were played. The course was in splendid order, but a strong wind blowing kept the scoring low. E. S. Douglas, 84—84 168, and T. A. Clements 89—80—169, lead the professionals, and S. Moreh 77 —81—IDS, H. E. Crosse 82—82 — 164, K. Tareha 84—80—164, and H. B. Lusk, 91—79—170 the amateurs. Auckland 'won tne Williams Cop (4 men team)-with a score of 340.
