r '~\ Amongst the most generous supporters of the Trentham fcfcholar- . ships Art Union have been the Farmers of New "Zealand. A large number of £5 books of tickets was sent out some time ago to farmers up and down thd country with a request to each that the book should be retained and payment remitted to the secretary. The response to this appeal was very satisfactory, the average farmer evidently welcoming the opportunity to assist the children of New Zealand’s fallen heroes. The secretary informed representative the other day, however, that there are still many of these books of tickets unaccounted for. He has asked us to publish a request that : all holders of books of tickets should I remit cheque in payment therefore, | or return the tickets at once. The I Art Union closes finally on June 1 30th, being drawn on July 31st. It j is therefore a matter of urgency that all tickets should be accounted for within the next few days. Otherwise there is a risk of these j ; numbers being omitted from the j | prize-drawing. The prompt action I . of those who are holding books of J tickets would save the committee j j an enormous amount of correspond- j ence and trouble. I,
