Sir James Allen cabled the stranded New Zealanders that prorided the reports of the epidemic continued satisfactory, he hoped to arrange to repatriate small batches in a fortnight's time. The New Zealanders replied regretting the vagueness of the promise and suggesting a full ship of passsengers next week under strict medical quarantine arrangement viz., three consecutive days’ examination before embarking; three davs’ quarantine aboard in and four day’s voyage.
