NEXT WEDNESDAY.'
The entries 'for the forthcoming show of the Marton District A. and P. Association wbich will be held on the Marton Racecourse, on Wednesday nest, show an increase .in several of the classes especially cattle. In order to provide accommodation for the extra exhibits, workmen for the past three weeks have been busy in erecting pens. Along side of the avenue the cattle P en ® have been erected and is an ideal position, ‘ t baing sheltered by the trees and with easy meins ot access. The sheep pens, which nl *?i her 400, have been erected m the inside saddling paddock. J-he horses will be accommodated m tne stalls and alongside the fence in the saddling pad-aock TJiis will allow the public to inspect the exhibits without any unnecessary trouble. The entries received for the competitions include the best jumping horses in tbe North Island, and keen contests can be expected. Most of the flock owners in this district and adjoining districts have entered exhibits and the different classes have been well patronised.
