A Washington despatch states that Bticain’s lirst aviation attache, Brigadier General Lionel Charlton, is soon to arrive from England. The New York Herald’s Paris correspondent states that he learns authoritatively that the Allies have resolved to give Poland the military aid of a large force. Fab 24 The noted French scientist, Rauteau, says he has invented a turbine apparatus which maintains normal air pressure for aeroplane engines at the highest altitude. He claims that aeroplanes will thus be able to utilise decreased air resistance at great heights without the Joss of engine efficiency. He believes speed will be attained double anytoing hitheto known. One test has shown an increase of from 88 to 150 miles hourly.
