FATAL MOTOR ACCIDENT.

Per Press Association. Gisborne, Feb 25 A sad motor car accident occorreu yesterday, Colonel McCredie being killed. He paid a visit to Morere to attend stock sales, and was returning to his station at Mahia by motor. The car was driven by Mr Bowen, of Panbutu, and the other occupants were Mrs Gower and Miss Gower. Upon reaching a corner of the read the party met a flveborse waggon and to avoid a collision Mr Bowen swerved the car and it capsized over the bank. The occupants were pinned under the car and, when extricated, it was found that Colonel MoOredie was dead, but that the other occupants were not seriously hurt.
