STOCK SALES. Dalgety and Co. report having a very good entry of sheep and cattle at their Palmerston North sale on Thursday last. There was a very fair demand for all classes of sheep and. with the of a few small pens, every lot changed hands. Yoong cattle were again dull of sale and forward cows were slightly easier in price. Qaotaious: —Sheep: Call lambs 3s lOd to 6s 23, small do. ]os to 11s, black face rape lambs 15s, aged store ewes 6s 61, 4 and syr ewes 22a 9d, forward ewes 22s 51, light fat and forward ewes. 255, light fat ewes 25s 91, 2th ewes 26s 3d, do wethers 26s 2d. Cattle: Empty store cows £5 9s to £7 ss, fair conditioned cows to £8 18s, light fat cows £lO 11s, fat cows £l2 to £l3 4s, bolls £9 17s 6d to £l6 10s.
Lean and Mercantile report: —At onr Palmerston North sale on Thursday we had an average yarding of sheep and cattle. The_ attendance was poor and bidding in favour of purchasers. We quote: — * tooth wethers 26a 4d, 2 tooth wethers 23a, fat and forward ewes 18s sd. forward ewes 12s 6d, call ewes 5s Id to 7s, 15 to 18 month steers £5 to £5 10s, yearling heifers £3 Is to £3 10s, weaners 21s to 275, fat cows £ll 10s, springing heifers £8 5s to £lO 7a 61, heifers in milk £9, cows in milk £l2 15s, bulls £8 ss.
