Among the Germane repatriated from England on Saturday was Franz Von Yeltheinv who slew Woolf Joel at Johannesburg in 1898. He was acquitted of morder on the plea of self-defence and sentenced at the Old Bailey in 1908 to twenty years for demanding, with menaces, £16,000 from Solomon Barnato Joel. Von Veltnoim is looking well after his long years in prison and nine months in internment camps
