A FINAL APPEAL. Tue Executive of the above propose to hold the annual effort on Monday, 3rd March. It is obvious now that the great war is over and the men returning in great numbers, that there should be ample funds to deal adequately with all cases requiring assistance. The Society expects this to he the List appeai to the public of this (district, and hope that the residents will respond, so that all the returned men will be able to be assisted on the same lines as those who have already been assisted by the Society. The following is a summary ot the funds of the Society as at present. Amounts paid away by this Society

The Bulls Copper Trail Committee collected £1042, which was paid into the Society, and is included in the amount forwarded to the English Red Cross, also the Bulls Navy League collected £129 19s _6d, which was paid into the Society and forwarded, to the Women’s Auxiliary Navy League The funds of the Society are invested as follows: — Loane io returned soldiers 2368 7 to Loans on mortgage maturing let .
