WRECKERS OF BRITISH TRADE. DESTROYING FOUNDATIONS OP SOCIETY. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received Feb 7, noon, Loudon, Feb 5. Mr Roberts states that the real danger to-day is the loss of our markets and decline of the demand for employment, which brings irreparable suffering. The strikers are not injuring employers but destroying the very foundations of society. Other Labour M’s.P. have made equally emphatic pronouncements in view of the seriousness of the issues involved. The public's convenience is regarded as trilling, but the streets yesterday presented a remarkable scene— ’buses and trams were crowded and hundreds of thousands were forced to walk many miles to and from work. There were long ’bns queues at every stopping place and many unceremoniously boarded motor lorries and tradesmen’s carts. Scores of soldiers from France had to walk across London with a fall kit and expressed keen indignation against the strikers.
