Christchurch, February 6 A meeting of representatives of various organisations, *held tins afternoon, took initial steps for setting up an adequate organisation to cope with any further epidemic in the city and country. The great value of the block system in the city during the recent epidemic was strongly emphasised, one speaker saying many lives had been saved by the adoption by the Christhurch doctors of the block system. A strong representative committee was set up to arrange the details of the scheme.
