GERMANS CONTEMPLATING FURTHER RETREAT. BRITISH FOUR DAYS’ CAPTURES Received September 6 8.25 a.m. New York, September 5. The British have captured Ploegsteert aud Hill 663. The Franco-Americans, north of the Yesle, have reached the line of the Aisne. The Germans are retreating. It is also reported that the Germans are about to abandon La Fere and Chauuy. The Britisn have captured sixteen thousand prisoners aud a hundred guns in four days.
