COPPER TRAIL.
GRAND PATRIOTIC REVUE. An exceptionally good rehearsal of the Patriotic Revue, to be given in the Marton Town Hall on Tuesday night nest, was held last evening, when the different spectacular items and dances were executed in quite a professional style. The Palmerston Reville Company are down for the dance, “The Duchess” and the song and chorus “Pack up your Trouble.". ” Mrs Oldham will sing “Cherry Blossom Time in Japan.” and Mesdames Rutherfurd and McOrea will be heard in the duet, “The Bells of St. Mary.” Misses Netherclift ’and Sutcliffe have a charming song, “Swing Song,” with a chorus and the company perform a spectacular balloon ballet. The programme is an excellent, one, the dressing bright and effective, the dances and songs .some of the latest hits, and, considering the cause for which it is being staged—The Copper Trail—a crowded house should welcome the performers.
“THE OHEEROS.” “Cheero” is a word known to all Martou play goers meaning something good in the show line and the forthcoming performance by this company will in no way give the pubic reason to think differently or change their minds. Rehearsals of the Musical Play “The Mandarin” are going strong, the music is catchy, Bright as well as melodious— while the costumes, which are being specially secured from Wellington, leave nothing to be desired. it is the east brought south in all its georgous colours, a veritable feast for the eye.
