Messrs Dalgety and Go., Ltd., Palmerston North, report having a good entry of sheep and afkinall yarding of cattle at their Feilding sale on Friday, tne 9th iust., which sold as follows: —Sheep.—Small hoggets, 10s to 15s sd; mixed hoggets, 16a 9d,to 20s; mixed aged ewes ju lamb, 18s; 2th and syr ewes in lamb S. D. rams 28s 2d to 295. Cattle —Dairy heifers, £8 2s Gd to £lO 15s. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having a fair entry of both sheep and cattle at their Palmerston North yards, Thursday, Bth August, when nearly ovary line changed Jmids. Fllowing are quotations Mixed hoggets small 18s, medium hoggets 16s Gd, 2th and 4th Romney ewes in iamb to Romney ram 2Ts Gd, dairy cows '£ll 5s to £ll 15s, springing heifers £9 10s to £lO 10s, yenrlnfg steers £5 lOsiGd, empty cows £5 7s to £7 17s. Messrs Abraham and Wiiilams Ltd., report at Palmertson North yards on the Bth inst. a small yarding of sheep and cattle also a small attendance of the public, owing *no doubt to the Snndon Hogget Fair being held on 7the same day. Prices ruling were as follows; —Ewes in lamb to 26s Gd, hoggets medium 16s 3d to ISs Gd, hoggets small 13s co 15s Sd, cull hoggets to 6s 6d, store cows to £8 17s, 18 mouth heifers £5 os, yearling heifers £2 15s to £B, springing cows £8 12s Gd to £l3 10s. There was a medium yarding of both sheep and cattle at the Feilding yards on the 9th inst. The quality of the stock all through was in ferior and the bidding was very slack throughout. Prices . realised were as follows —Fat ewes to BBs, ewes in lamb ISs Gd to 20s, ewes in lamb to 26s 3d, empty ewes small to IBs 3d, hoggets mixed 15s to 19s lOd, hoggets small 10s empty cows to £6 ss, empty heifers to £5 ss, cows r. w. bull to £7 ISs, springing cows £lO 5s to £l7 2s Gd. Loan and Mercantile report At our Palmerston North salconThursdav we had a mederate yarding of both sheep and cattle. Attendance wss very small, consequently bidding was dull and in favour of purchasers. We quote: —Poor ewes in ismb 12s. medium ewes in lamb 2Ss, store cows £3 17s Gd to £5 15s, springing heifers £5 Gs to £9, springing cows £0 10s, vearling heifers £2 A.
