HAIGH LAUNCHES ESN ATTACK
GOING AHEAD SUCDESSFULLY SEVERAL TOWNS CAPTURED. Receivd August 9, 8.35 a.m. London, August 8. Sir Douglas Haig has launched an attack on a wide front, which is developing favourably. The Fourth British Army is en - gaged. The British have captured Hanerwood, Dodowood and the towns of Marcelcave, Lamott, En Santerre.
