From Auckland comes word of the deatli of that great hurdler Oavaliero, who had been tnruedout at his owner’s place, Huutly, since the conclusion of his racing career, The son of Cuirassier and Olio was a good performer on the fiat before being put to hurdle racing. There was an unusual happening at the last Meeting of the Hobart Jockey Club. Roucloletta put up 231 h overweight in the Red Cross Plate, and won, paying a dividend of well over half a century.
